ISMN RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP AT THE INSTITUTE OF STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT, NIGERIA (CHARTERED)


INTRODUCTION

The ISMN Senior Research Fellows are highly experienced researchers who possess depth in conducting research and research- related activities at a senior level in teams of respected research bodies, institutions and organizations.


JOB OBJECTIVES:

To undertake research in strategic management and governance discipline, pursue research projects capable of elevating and distinguishing the professional status of the Institute of Strategic Management, Nigeria. Empirically oversee the Strategic Management Journal as a Peer Reviewed and Scopus Indexed Publication.


QUALIFICATION/CRITERIA:

Senior Research Fellows are Professors, holders of PhD degrees and other associated qualifications or their equivalent. I. Number of years of Post-PhD research experience of at least 7 years;
II. Significant number of publications in terms of; quality of academic articles and case studies publications, citations, ranking of journal publications
III. Experience of successful supervision of students where appropriate
contributions to academic, government and corporate organizations are evidenced and referenced;
IV. Experienced in a leadership role in a research institution with proven impact;
V. Demonstrated capability to exercise independence in research as shown by senior authorship of publications and invited presentations at conferences.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

I. Contribute to the development and management of research strategies at ISMN (Chartered) Journal;
II. Develop proposals for research projects which will make a significant impact by leading to an increase in knowledge, understanding and the discovery or development of new explanations, tools, insights concepts or processes;
III. Generate new research approaches and identify, adapt, develop and use research, methodologies and technologies that are appropriate;
IV. Actively seek new research funding and secure it in a reasonable manner; V. Review and synthesize the outcomes of research works and activities
VI. Engage in enterprise activities with a wide range of partners within and outside the ISMN (Chartered) Faculty including knowledge generation, knowledge exchange and knowledge transfer activities;
VII. Develop members to a balanced position between the use of academic publications and use of practical case studies in solving strategy leaning challenges;
VIII. Responsible for the delivery of own research programmes;
IX. Be involved in Faculty level strategic planning and contribute to ISMN’s strategic planning process;
X. Acts as mentors to peers and colleaques;
XI. Provide academic leadership to those working within research areas by coordinating the work of others in ensuring that research projects are delivered effectively and organizing the work of a team by agreeing to objectives and work plans;
XII. Plan, coordinate and deliver research, consulting or similar programmes in ensuring resources are available and required income levels are achieved.
